Fallings Heath provides excellent person-centred support for four young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a quiet, residential street.
The scheme’s positive community presence allows service users to develop independence and a range of life skills, furthered with individual ensuite rooms. A shared lounge, dining room and kitchen enables service users to have privacy when wanted but regular and important opportunities to develop domestic and social skills. Customers can also take advantage of an annual holiday together, providing stimulation and enjoyment outside of their usual setting. The holiday is part-funded by Accord Housing Association. Levels of support are offered flexibly and in line with the person’s individual needs, maximising their sense of dignity, respect and individuality.

Getting a placement
Admissions are normally planned with the service user and their family, carers and associated professionals. The scheme is funded by Walsall social services, but a contribution towards the necessary care and support is required.
