Accord have two Resident Panels. Both Panels are independent, resident-led and hold Accord to account on behalf of residents:
The Complaints & Communication Panel
The Complaints and Communication Panel are a group of residents who act as a designated person as part of the complaints process. They scrutinise and support Accord in continually learning from and improving the complaints process. They also look at communication methods to ensure that they are relevant, customer focused and customer friendly.
The Scrutiny Panel
The Scrutiny Panel have a formal role in influencing performance and service delivery by scrutinising the work we do. The Panel help drive continuous improvement. Presently the Scrutiny Panel are beginning scrutiny of elements of the repairs service. ·
The Engagement Team support Resident Groups both to set up and develop – we aim not to lead but to enable and empower residents and work together to improve neighbourhoods.
Accord also supports a network of Community Champions who report to the Engagement Team on a range of local subjects including local services and environmental issues.
Accord residents have also attended numerous events where they have had opportunities to speak to Housing Ministers, councillors and leaders from local, regional and national housing groups and campaigns.
