As tenants and customers of Accord we want to work closely with you – we really value your input, support and scrutiny.
Accord has a range of engagement opportunities for you to consider. Our opportunities are flexible in approach and can fit around your schedule and availability.
The Accord Engagement Team supports Resident Groups – we can help you set up new groups and grow and develop existing ones. Our aim is not to lead these groups, but to enable and empower you as residents to work together to improve your neighbourhoods.
We have many residents who create a positive impact in their communities. By reporting issues to the relevant authority or business our Community Champions help to ensure that local issues are resolved. These positive actions help to create stronger, more welcoming communities.
Our Engagement Team supports Community Champions by ensuring they have the right information, so they know who to report any problems to. We also work with you to help monitor and resolve local issues.
Accord currently has two Resident Panels. Both panels are independent, resident-led and hold Accord to account on behalf of residents.
The Complaints & Communication Panel
The Complaints and Communication Panel is a group of residents who act as a designated person as part of the complaints process. They scrutinise and support Accord in continually learning from and improving the complaints process. They also look at communication methods to ensure that they are relevant, customer focused and customer friendly.
The Scrutiny Panel
The Scrutiny Panel has a formal role in influencing performance and service delivery by scrutinising the work we do. This panel helps to drive continuous improvement. The Scrutiny Panel is currently scrutinising elements of the repairs service.
All panel members are offered training and equipment so they can fully participate in panel activities.
