This statement is made in relation to Section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Slavery and forced labour can take many forms, including human trafficking and child labour. The Accord Group, including Ashrammoseley, bchs, Caldmoreaccord Housing Association, Direct Health, Fry Housing Trust, Heantun Housing Association and Redditch Co-operative Homes will not tolerate forced labour or child labour in any aspect of our business. We hold ourselves and our supply chains accountable and we will ensure compliance with the provisions of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 in every aspect of our work.
During 2016/17 we will assess risks in supply chains and amend our procedures to require suppliers (in areas where higher risk is assessed) to work towards eradicating modern slavery further down the supply chain. We will also provide guidance for staff on modern slavery and review our safeguarding and equality and diversity policies and procedures.The Accord Group has a ‘Speak Up’ policy for any staff to confidentially raise issues of concern around any area of the business including modern slavery.
