Staff stories
The Accord Group employs almost 1,800 staff in a range of different departments, including care and support and housing.
Here, two members of staff share their stories about working for the Accord Group.
‘Accord helped me gain qualifications’
“Since starting at the Accord Group, my career has developed with the help and support of staff and colleagues.
"I progressed from a Customer Services Advisor, to a job as a Housing Officer, before moving into the Income Team. I am now an Income Team Manager.
"I have been able to attend a range of certified training courses and I have achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Housing and also the Chartered Institute of Housing Level 5 Financial Inclusion Award. All of these I wouldn’t have been able to achieve without the support from Accord.

‘Accord helped me develop professionally’
“I saw an advert for a Senior Neighbourhood Warden’s role working in West Bromwich, which sounded ideal. I did a lot of background work, attended the interview and, to my surprise, I got the job. I worked as a warden until March 2007 and then became a Regeneration Officer for the Accord Group.
"In 20 years, I had never come across such a bunch of helpful and welcoming people as the team I work in. Everyone has always had time to answer my questions and share their knowledge. I really enjoy working for the Accord Group and the role has enabled me to develop both professionally and personally.”
